Kevin McKidd just signed on to play the titular role in "Dylan", a biopic about poet and all around nice guy Dylan Thomas. The movie is set to be released next year. I don't think any poet in the history of time has ever been as attractive as Kevin but whatever, Hollywood does as Hollywood does. He's still a great actor. I'm sure he can ugly himself up and hit the books enough to do Thomas justice. I'll post a trailer when it becomes available.

Actually, I can almost see it.

Journeyman is a fine piece of genre television and the powers that be at NBC are thinking of canceling it! Really, it's a great show. If you haven't checked it out yet you should go to NBC.com and watch some episodes. Also, head on over to http://savejourneyman.net/ and learn about efforts to save the show. Do the right thing NBC!

The second season of Kevin's critically acclaimed but canceled HBO show "Rome" has finally arrived on DVD. It comes with an actual bloody knife used to murder Julius Caesar! Ok, I'm kidding. That packaging would be extremely messy. Not to mention, there were only what, seven knives used to murder that guy? They'd light up ebay at that rate.
It does have actual non-bloody extras though. There are five commentaries included in the set, and four featurettes on the making of the show. Also, they've included some neat "Pop-Up Video" style visual commentaries on several of the episodes. More fun than watching your slave participate in gladiatorial combat!
Here is a link to buy the set:

As you all probably know, Kevin's new show "Journeyman" premieres on NBC this fall. The show casts Kevin as a hapless time traveler, bouncing from time to time and trying to set things right. Shades of "Quantum Leap" I know. It costars mega hottie Moon Bloodgood as his time traveling damsel in distress. I'm a sucker for all things sci-fi so I'll be there with tivo'd bells on. Check out this preview of the show:
